Umbrella Holders For Decking

SMARTfoot Decking Umbrella Holders

Please note that SMARTfoot requires gaps in the decking floor of at least 4.5mm

SmartFoot parasol holders offer for the first time a quick and easy way to install and remove a garden umbrella on garden decking.

With SMARTfoot there are no heavy weights to move about and trip over if just left around.  Weighing only a few pounds, in about 60 seconds you can effortlessly install a SMARTfoot parasol base into your decking. No strength is required. To see how easy it is, click on the animation below. And when the umbrella is not left out after use and has to be stored away, if required it will only take the same quick process to remove the base from the decking – less than 60 seconds.

Model SFO-670 (twin locks)

Model SFO-670 accommodates poles 18-48mm in diameter

About the SF0-670

Model SF0-670 is the first umbrella holder specifically designed for use with decking surfaces.

Its unique fixing system will anchor the holder to the decking firmly. The gap between decking planks needs only to just 4.5mm to allow the anchoring locks to pass through

The gap between the underside of the decking and the surface below has only to be 50mm. Installation and removal takes just seconds with no heavy weights to move or carry around (weighs just 1.8 kg) as the animation below shows.

Made of steel, all SMARTfoot products offer strength and long life against the ravages of bad weather.

Installation Instructions

Assembly – there are two anchor locks that come with this holder. Open the plastic bag and remove these locks. Insert the screw bolts through the holes on either side of the holder, from below.

Taking the plastic nuts affix them to the bolts winding them down the shafts. Then screw the round caps onto the shafts – they only go so far down the shaft so avoid over-tightening and damaging them.

Slide the anchor locks into the gap between the decking boards making sure that the anchors go below the boards. Twist the round caps so that the locks are now at 90 degrees to the gap and under the boards. Gently pull up the umbrella holder so that the anchors meet the boards and tighten up the nuts firmly. The holder is now ready to accept the umbrella.

Open up the clamps on the holder so that the umbrella can be placed into the holder, and tighten up the clamps firmly (see animation).

Model SFO-690

The easy way to install a cantilever umbrella without using heavy, bulky weights to keep it secure.

About the SFO-690

For use with cantilever or hanging parasols, model SFO-690 will allow you to attach a cantilever umbrella of up to 30 kgs in weight. Like model SFO-670 this base is attached to the decking by two anchoring locks, weighing only 5kg. It is easily and quickly installed (c. 60 seconds) and just as quick to remove

As with model SFO-670, its unique fixing system will anchor the holder to the decking firmly.

Installation Instructions

Assembly – there are two anchor locks that come separately with this holder. Open the plastic bag and remove these locks. Insert the screw bolts through the holes on either side of the holder, from below.

Taking the plastic nuts affix them to the shafts winding them down the bolts. Then screw the round caps onto the bolts – they only go so far down the shaft so avoid over-tightening and damaging them.

Slide the anchor locks into the gap between the decking boards making sure that the anchors go below the boards. Twist the round caps so that the locks are now at 90 degrees to the gap and under the boards. Gently pull up the bolts into place and tighten  the nuts firmly.

Model SFO-690 does not rely on heavy weights to secure it in place, so if the umbrella does come with a cross-section metal base this will not be required. Instead connect the four bolts of your umbrella holder base to the slots of the SMARTfoot base instead of to the cross-section base. Tighten these firmly and insert your umbrella securely into the holder.
